+FLAME RETARDANT

Through patented technology, our flame retardant is the most efficient treatment in the market. Our process allows the FR chemistry to penetrate into the fiber and distribute evenly throughout the fiber. Our FR chemistry is safe and non-toxic to humans and the environment. During manufacturing there is no chemistry released into the ecosystem, everything is recycled.

We can treat all types of natural fibers including bleached cotton, scoured cotton, rayon, kenaf, jute, flax, wool, cashmere, shoddy, etc. Applications for our FR treatment are bedding, automotive, insulation, acoustic panel, furniture, appliance, etc. Our FR treatment will pass CPSC 16 CFR Part 1633, ASTM E84, UL 94, FMVSS 302, etc.

Additional performance can be added to our FR treated fibers with characteristics such as antimicrobial, antifungal and anti-dust mite.

Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy Line Scan Shows penetration of Flame retardant (Phosphorus based FR) through the cross-section of single fiber. Intensity of phosphorus increases along with cross-section of fiber.

+HYDROPHILIC TREATMENT

Polyester is a hydrophobic fiber by nature. We can make polyester hydrophilic to give non-wovens and traditional textiles new levels of performance that have not previously been available. When blended with regular polyester, our hydrophilic polyester will allow the blended fabric to wick moisture and allow it to dissipate. This blend can be fine tuned to give a specific level of performance for a specific application. This is a durable treatment so it can be used for performance apparel to give sportswear better body moisture management, geotextiles can control wet spots by allowing them to transport water away from a high moisture area and it can be used for absorbent products such as wipes and hygienic applications

+ANTIMICROBIAL TREATMENT

We can offer antimicrobial treatments for natural and synthetic fibers. These can be combined with our other treatments to give you fibers with multiply performance characteristics. Some possibilities are to add an antimicrobial to our hydrophilic polyester or add an antimicrobial to our FR cotton for specific applications.

+ETHICAL SAFE LINE™

We created our Ethical Safe Line™ for our line of fire retardant products based on several issues.

First we believe that we have a moral responsibility to protect lives. Anyone with knowledge needs to use that knowledge for the betterment of society. The products that our FR fibers go into are designed to protect. Many standards for fire safety are very difficult to pass. With our technology we are able to take natural fibers and treat them so that they will help save lives during a fire. When we see that a standard is not sufficient to protect lives to the degree they are capable of doing, we seek to change that standard. To say that our product passes the standard does not relieve us of our moral obligation to try to save lives.

We believe we are obligated to use only the safest FR chemistry available. We do not want to expose anyone to any substances that are not considered safe and non-toxic. This includes everyone in the product life cycle from our suppliers and employees to our neighbors, customers and the consumer.

We believe that the environment must be protected. We want to minimize our footprint on the environment. We have patented manufacturing processes that prevent any of the chemistry from going into the eco-system. We are able to recycle and reuse all of the chemistry in our FR solution. We also strive to be the leader in FR treatment of natural fibers.

We believe that we can still have a product that is made in the U.S.A. There is no reason that we have to give away U.S. jobs. With technology and training, we believe we can make the highest quality in the world at a price that is competitive with the world market.

+HYDROPHOBIC TREATMENT

Cotton is considered a hydrophilic fiber by nature. Hydrophilic refers to a fiber’s capability to absorb water. We can treat cotton fiber to make it hydrophobic, or incapable of absorbing water. This can be used for specific applications such as hygiene products, performance apparel or specific filtration applications.

+CATIONIC TREATMENT

Conventional cotton dyeing requires a large amount of salt to force anionic dyes into cotton fiber, which develop an anionic surface charge in water. Also, fiber-reactive dyeing needs soda ash for dye fixation. In addition, the highly colored dye bath discharge causes environmental problems due to inadequate dye bath exhaustion.

Our cationic cotton treatment allows cotton to be dyed without salt or soda ash at low temperatures. This treatment allows you to target a specific amount of dye stuff for your garments. The dye cycle time is cut down to a fraction of normal. Also less dye stuff is needed since almost all the dye goes onto the fiber and does not have to go down the drain. Costs are reduced due to less dye, less chemicals, shorter dye cycles and lower dyeing temperatures.

Unique styling opportunities will be realized since only the cationic cotton portion of the garment will absorb dye.

+RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT™

Our research and development department is constantly exploring other possibilities for fiber treatments. We prefer to be challenged to overcome a current shortcoming in a customer's product so that we can work together with our customers to develop new approaches to old problems. We want to bring value and performance to fiber in order to give our customers a market advantage.

Let us know what areas we can develop together.
